Style Counsel Live at the Telegraph Business Club19/01/2009
Jane Louise Pickup, Managing Director of Style Counsel Interiors and Style Direct Furniture was invited to present a live case study to a packed audience of 70 Telegraph Business Club delegates at Old Trafford Cricket Club recently.
The Telegraph Business Club seminar titled Finding New Opportunities in a Time of Change was a thought provoking half day seminar to help business owners and company directors develop new ideas to survive the recession. Delegates had the opportunity to learn from real business heroes who revealed their secrets of success and take part in the live case study delivered by Jane to help them apply the lessons learned.
Dave Sumner-Smith, Programme Director for the Telegraph Business Club commented "The idea of the live case study is to present delegates with a 'real world business' facing real world challenges and ask them for their guidance on how to address those challenges."
The speaking spot presented Jane with the opportunity to introduce Style Counsel Interiors to the audience and tell the story of its growth and success before looking forward to the future of the business and the challenges that lie upon the horizon.
"We have to acknowledge that every business faces challenges regardless of whether they are succeeding or failing" said Jane. "Style Counsel Interiors' growth and success over the past five years has brought with it great benefits but equally a number of new and interesting challenges, and I was happy to share these with such a knowledgeable business audience. The seminar was a really positive experience for everyone. As the live case study company I was delighted to get lots of great input from fellow entrepreneurs who genuinely wanted to get beneath the skin of our business to offer sound advice often founded upon their own experiences."
